To choose the right size of linen for your buffet table, you need to measure the length and width of your table. Once you have these measurements, you can use the following formula to calculate the size of the linen you need:
Length of table + (2 x desired drop) = Length of linen needed
Width of table + (2 x desired drop) = Width of linen needed
The desired drop is the amount of overhang you want on each side of the table. A standard drop is 10-12 inches, but you can adjust this based on your preference and the look you’re going for.
For example, if your buffet table is 6 feet long and 30" wide, and you want a 12-inch drop on each side, you would need a linen that is at least 7 feet long and 54" wide.
